The groom seeing the bride for the first time at the William Aiken House Wedding We couldn’t have said it better.  “My favorite part was finally getting to see Candice turn the corner and see her in her wedding dress. We did not do a first look so the whole day was building to that moment and that is when it was real to me. I was marrying the prettiest girl in the world and she made that dress the prettiest dress in the world”, he said.An overhead view of the bride and dad walking down the aisle at the William Aiken House Wedding And this is what the bride said, “my favorite part was having all our family and friends together in one place celebrating the love Tim and I have for each other. It was such a special moment seeing Tim for the first time as I began walking down the aisle.”

A truly special moment for the couple was Tim and Candice wrote most of the ceremony themselves with the help of their friend Kent, who married them. Kent has known Candice for most of her life and they knew it would mea so much to the both them. They also wrote their own vows which made it extra special.

The couple envisioned a formal and elegant wedding. With the beautiful yellow historic house, they incorporated the lush greenery and white florals into their decor and the bridesmaid’s dresses were classic and silver.

The couple was absolutely in the love with the setting they chose for the William Aiken House Wedding, “we both loved the bridge Candice walked over. It was a perfect symbol of her father giving her away and us both crossing it as husband and wife.”

The Ballroom Reception at the William Aiken House Wedding

We loved the look that William Aiken provides. It is such a beautiful house and there is so many design elements that can be used throughout the house. All the rooms are gorgeous with incredible art throughout.  The openness of the whole venue was also incredible. We were able to do so much with the dance area and the bar area.

The bride said, “I am obsessed with Magnolia flowers and our pastry chef hand crafted sugar magnolias and placed them around our white cake. Tim and I both got to choose our own flavors so each tier alternated each of our flavors which was fun! It was so perfect. “the cake sitting in the room during their William Aiken house Wedding

“The whole night was filled with dancing which is exactly what we wanted! A huge party! Our DJ did an amazing job to keep that up for 4 hours. The GIFY machine was a huge hit among all guests, we can’t thank our photographers enough – oh and that signature Anchor and Veil slideshow – OMG!”, they said.

As The Night Comes To An End At The William Aiken House Wedding…

It is not often that we are captivated by a moment during the reception, but we were as “Candice and Tim did a “Last Dance” which was incredible. It was a great way to end the night just the two of us and take everything in.”  Priceless…

The bride’s one piece of advice said it beautifully. “Enjoy every single moment because it truly goes by too fast. Throughout your wedding day, take in the little moments because you will remember those for a lifetime. At the end of the day, you are marrying your best friend and that is truly what matters! Also, be sure you love your photographers! That is why the second easiest “yes” was choosing Anchor & Veil! Those images will last forever”!
