We woke up early for this Uptown Charlotte engagement session but man was it worth it!
The Couple
Erika & Dom are two of the coolest people you will ever meet. We met because we shot Erika’s cousin’s wedding this past new years eve and when they came over, we knew we had to shoot their wedding! Erika is this really awesome, caring and loving girl killing everything she does. She just graduated this past weekend with honors and is heading to be a nurse practitioner in Wilmington. Dom is a purple heart vet that is a huge inspiration, he KILLS crossfit workouts with 1 leg! Check out his instagram if you really want to feel like you are lazy and have no excuses to do anything! he is also heading to Alaska to hunt and fish! Because of this we had to make sure we got their engagement session in before they left, and the only time we could beat the heat and their deadline was 6:30 am…..yes. AM!
The Uptown Charlotte Engagement Session
Shooting in Charlotte is always an adventure. There are all kinds of crazy permits and security guards that try to chase you down, thankfully these two were just as adventurous as I am and they now only didn’t mind. Not only did they not mind about the guards, but they also let me try a bunch of different things with their pictures. You will see a lot of freelensing, reflections, prisms, Brenizer methods, etc… All of that just means they let me try cool things, and I think it turned out really well. It also was a lot of fun for me because when I showed them the back of the camera, it was something they had never seen before! Its boring getting shots everyone else has! So, enjoy the images! We had a lot of fun shooting them, even if it was really early! We can’t wait for their wedding at Separk Mansion!
