Why We Love It- Cancer Survivor

Inspiration

This edition of Why We Love It is from a pretty special photo session. This session was done for the Charlotte office of Susan G. Komen to honor breast cancer survivors and their families. This session was especially meaningful to me, because my mom is a 5-year breast cancer survivor! She is one tough cookie 😉

This mother and daughter were certainly a dynamic duo. They were so full of life and joy! The daughter has raised over $15,000 for breast cancer research- and she’s only 15 years old! It was really incredible to see how supportive her daughter has been throughout the entire process. We felt very honored to be able to do this session for such an amazing cause!

Why we love it:

  • This session was for an amazing cause! We love being able to give back to the community wherever we can and to capture the joy of women who have fought cancer and beat it is irreplaceable!
  • This daughter was awesome! For a 15 year old girl to raise $15,000 for her mother is INCREDIBLE! I dare you to find another 15 year old girl out there doing this!
  • Breast cancer is something close to our heart. Devin’s mom has been a huge supporter for the fight against breast cancer for years and my mom is a 5-year survivor!

We didn’t do much to this image because we didn’t need to. The joy and the emotion of fighting breast cancer and beating it is enough!
