We had so much fun with shooting this downtown charlotte engagement session then heading over to Hampton park!
The Couple!
Carissa & Bryant are two people that quickly became friends when we met them in our home. They met by chance through common friends at an Applebees, the 2 for 20s was irresistible and the triple chocolate meltdown brought it all together and sealed the deal! She is a an extremely kind hearted kindergarten teacher with the patience of a saint but with a fun side, a cute smile and a look in her eye that makes you instantly love her! He is just the same, without the the kindergarten teacher part. He is patient and super kind and the way he looks at Carissa you can tell they have an infectious love that rivals none. Together they have the cutest little pup cooper who loves car rides but once you take him out of the car is a ball of energy!
Their Charleston Engagement Session
Let me tell you, we got really excited when they decided not to do an engagement session in Charlotte. Not that we don’t love Charlotte because we do, we just LOVE traveling and doing sessions away from Charlotte and Charleston is easily one of our favorite places to do them. They are also getting married at Forsyth Park in Savannah Ga, so I think Charleston is perfect because it is a lot like Savannah but each are still unique in their own ways. One of our favorite things to do in Charleston is just to walk through the town and explore and chase light, so that is just what we did! We spent time exploring the nods and crannies of the city then eventually we made our way to Hampton Park. Carissa LOVES Spanish moss and we knew that one of the best places to find some spanish moss other than a plantation would be Hampton park so we quickly make our way over before the sun set and they created magic! After the session we ate at one of our favorite restaurants ever, The Rare Bit and got some chicken and waffles and moscow mules, our favorites!
