2015 Year In Review

Weddings

Wow! What a year it has been! I mean seriously. We have done so much that we never thought we would be able to and the Lord has been gracious enough to allow photography to take us places and shoot destination weddings all over the country, like NYC, Portland, Washington DC,  Savannah, and Charleston! We have been on more airplanes and stayed in more hotels than we can count, but what they say is true, there’s no place like home 🙂 We feel so blessed that we were BOTH able to say goodbye to our corporate jobs this year to pursue our dream as photographers! I think there was an equal amount of fear and excitement about that… and still is!

This year has been a year of growth for us- as photographers, as husband and wife, and as business owners! We have grown so much artistically and learned to follow our voice and find our style. Trying to stand out and be ourselves and different, not do what everyone else is and does. We have looked at our client experience and tried to make it better and better. I believe that there are things that we do that very few other photographers in the world are doing and I’m excited to grow more in 2016. We hope in 2016 we can shine a bright light in the photography industry, educate and build a strong community in our area. We are pretty excited!

Our word for this year is “intentional.” We want to be intentional with everything we say and do. From our clients, to our marriage, to our friends. It’s easy to get sucked into your career- whether you work at home in yoga pants like us (well, me – not so much Devin ha!), or go into an office every day. We don’t want our lives to be consumed by our career, but rather what we do with the gifts we have been given. We have a unique opportunity to document the most special day in a person’s life, and we don’t ever want to take that for granted, or take it lightly.

We love what we do, we love our clients, and we love YOU! We hope that this year is full of love and happiness for you. Cheers!

Also, we have decided to break this post into two sections. The first section will be all of Devin’s images and the second section will be mine! Prepare yourself, there are probably around 200 images!

Here is our Year in Review Post from 2014. Man, we sure have grown, kind of crazy!

Ok, quick time out! This is Devin here. I just wanted to take this time to highlight Kathryn. This next group of pictures are hers. I am SOOOOO proud of her and the way that she has been KILLING IT these last couple of years. She has grown a ton as a photographer and has pushed me more than I could ever have imagined. Her work has become seriously STUNNING and I know she could hold her own and run her own photography business better than the majority of photographers out there. I am SUPER proud of her and excited to see what 2016 holds!
