Robinsons on the Road!
One thing Devin and I love to do together is travel! We are so thankful to have a job that takes us all over the world doing what we love!! Today, we are revisiting a blast from the past! Our trip to the west coast was one of our all time favorite trips together! We got to visit San Diego, LA, the Grand Canyon, and my personal favorite… Las Vegas! In case you’re wondering why I’m wearing the same outfit in basically all the pictures … I didn’t realize how cold it was going to be! I only packed one jacket and one scarf soΒ they got put to good use π
San Diego
San Diego is one of the most beautiful places! We got to do an engagement session for a beautiful couple while we were there and it was so dreamy! There are so many fun things to do in San Diego and we tried to take advantage of our time and do as many as possible! We did a whale watching tour (side note- Devin got VERY sea sick!) where we were able to see so many beautiful creatures in their natural habitat! It’s my dream to see orcas in the wild… that didn’t happen on this trip, but hopefully soon! We also went to the San Diego Zoo! I’m not a huge fan of zoos- I would much rather see animals in the wild, BUT we still had fun! My favorite part was when the zookeeper fed the lions. It was crazy! We also spent some time in the beautiful La Jolla area where we had the most delicious gelato! Then we enjoyed the sunset at Coronado Beach! There’s nothing like seeing the sun set over the ocean.
Los Angeles
After our visit in San Diego, we went to LA! It was a little overwhelming for this North Carolina gal, but we had the best time! We got to visit with Devin’s family and do a tour of Dodgers Stadium- definitely the highlight of the trip for Devin π We spent time window shopping in Beverly Hills, and just enjoying the beautiful weather! We also spent some time in Malibu- where it was my turn to get sick driving down the curvy mountain side!
Las Vegas
Then we went to Vegas, baby! Devin and I aren’t big on partying or gambling, so I went to Vegas thinking there wouldn’t be anything for us to do. Boy, was I wrong! We spent HOURS in the different hotels shopping and eating… two things we LOVE to do π We had the honor of shooting a wedding in Vegas, and it was one of the most fun weddings we’ve done! We took them around Vegas in the FREEZING cold and had an absolute blast!
The Grand Canyon
Our last stop was The Grand Canyon! We had some friends moving out West, and they had stopped to see the Grand Canyon the same day as us! Unfortunately we didn’t realize it until after we were both gone and had seen it on social media! The Grand Canyon is one of the most majestic places we have ever been! It’s one of those places that pictures and words just don’t do it justice. You just have to see it in person! We got there just before a snow storm hit… and then had to drive down the mountain to Phoenix to catch our flight. In. A. Blizzard. It was honestly one of the most terrifying 3 hours of my life! Thankfully, we made it π We love traveling and we can’t wait for our next adventure!
