Tuesday night Kathryn and I decided to join a group of photographers for a “Shoot Out.” I thought it was supposed to be some serious competition, but it wasn’t what I thought. it was just shooting around with a competitive name. It was so much fun! There were about 9 of us practicing, sharing tips and tricks, and making each other better photographers!
We got the idea from Jasmine Star on her CreativeLive Restart show. She motived us all to get out there and get to know other photographers in the area. Networking and relationships is what the business is all about!
It was great to get to know other photographers in the area. I feel like the relationships you make when you selflessly put your financial goals behind you for the sake of friendships can be immeasurable on a monetary scale. Heather Rickelman did a great job putting everything together and making sure everything went well! Julia Beckmann and Kelly Stewart were some of the first ones there so it was nice getting to know them before everything started! NiCole Lynch, Melinda Jean, Yasmin Leonard & Samantha Laffoon came soon after and it quickly became a cool little community of people sharing our passion and helping to make each other better!
