As some of you may know, I work at Hickory Grove Baptist Church & some of my good friends and members of the college ministry, Josh, Nathan & Yancy got baptized this morning! It has been such a great joy of mine to see the way in which God has worked in their lives and is continually shaping them into the men, and women, He has called them to be! Baptism is special because we are seeing people who are publicly showing their desire to follow Jesus & walk with Him for the rest of their life and who want the Church’s accountability as they walk down that narrow road.
Yancy, Josh & Nate recently became believers and started walking with the Lord in a solid community on campus. They are leaders in Campus Outreach and God is using them TREMENDOUSLY! It is a privilege to have them at Hickory Grove.
Afterward we all got to have lunch at Yancy’s house! Her mom was so kind to allow us to come over and she cooked for around 40 people! It was awesome!
A man who knows that he is saved by believing in Christ does not, when he is baptized, lift his baptism into a saving ordinance. In fact, he is the very best protester against that mistake, because he holds that he has no right to be baptized until he is saved.

I rejoice in watching these three get baptized! God did an incredible work in their life and God will continue to! I am excited to see all that he does through them to advance his kingdom!
