*Update* This wedding was featured in a well known International wedding blog! Check it out here!
Oh.My.Goodness! This wedding was absolutely incredible. Just about everything was hand made and you couldn’t ask for a better day! Unfortunately we could’t put ALL of the details in this post because the website would probably crash or even EXPLODE! But for now, enjoy the post and read all about how she was inspired every step of the way starting with how they met!
Their love story began with a small town country girl catching the eye of a happy-go-lucky boy looking to dance the night away at our favorite night club. They remained dance buddies for many years before deciding we wanted to give dating a fair chance. After two years, they booked a trip to Manhattan, New York; a city we both have always wanted to see. While they were there he proposed on the Empire State Building (Thats right! Such an awesome place!). She was in total shock but pleasantly surprised.
“It is not so much light that falls
over the world extended by your body
its suffocating snow,
as brightness, pouring itself out of you,
as if you were burning inside.
Under your skin the moon is alive.”
-Pable Neruda
As they planned their wedding She pictured rustic and vintage decor with a laid back comfortable atmosphere. She started collecting bottles that were once just road litter for my centerpieces. A great friend of hers would clean up the beer bottles and wine bottles and bring them to her. She would wrap them in burlap string and decorate any way she desired. No two bottles were the same. All of the centerpieces, hanging flags, and wood pieces had been handmade for their big day.
The tea was served in mason jars with a tag to write your name on. Everyone could keep up with their glass and it was a take home for each of them.
She wore blue heels for good luck and she had on her mema’s old dogwood brooch that her pawpaw gave her many years ago.
Yellow was her pawpaw’s favorite color so she chose that color as my accent for decorations and flowers. No joke, these flowers by Reggie’s florist in Welcome, NC we UH-MAZING! .
We hope you all enjoyed this INCREDIBLE wedding as much as we did!
Congrats again to the wonderful couple, we wish them the best!
Blessings,
The Robinsons
