Graduation!

Personal

Well, after 5 years, I finally graduated from college! It only took 2 universities, 4 changes of my major, one semester in India, a 400 hour internship, and LOTS of hard work, but I did it! I’m so proud of all my fellow 2013 graduates, and so thankful for the friends I made throughout this journey. I started out at N.C. State University, studying Fashion and Textile Management. I met some amazing friends at State and I am so thankful for my time there.

After my year at State, I decided to take some time off from college and go to India for a few months. It was such an incredible experience that I will never forget. It was an incredibly challenging time, and I never would have made it through without some of my awesome teammates!

When I got back from India, I had decided that I wanted to go to nursing school, so I transferred to UNCG. I had no idea that I would come to love UNCG as much as I did (but not nursing…which is why I later switched to International and Global Studies, and then Public Health Education!). I met some really amazing people throughout my time at UNCG, including some awesome international students, classmates, professors, and my amazing husband 😉

I wouldn’t trade my time in college for anything, but I am thankful to be finished with this chapter of my life and I am looking forward to what’s next!

C’est la vie,

Kathryn
