The Aviation Themed Engagement Session

Man, this has been a long time coming, for us and for them! We met Emily on Instagram a LONG time ago so we were SOOO glad when we finally heard from her about shooting her wedding! It was also a long time coming for them! They have been dating since Emily got her braces off in High school and Phillip is lucky because if he didn’t get her then, he wouldn’t now! He is marrying up and he knows it! She’s a nurse and Carolina Panthers cheerleader and he is finishing school and serving in the National guard and training to be a fighter pilot. Together, they are freaking awesome! They are two of the coolest and most kind people you will ever meet and we are so thankful to call them friends!

We started their session with a little bit of a Top-Gun Aviation themed engagement session and it was FUNN! When Phillip said that one of his favorite movies was Top Gun and he had access to an Air base, the decision was EASY! First of all, who knew there are a National Guard base near Charlotte’s airport, not me, but I’m glad there is and I’m glad we got to use it for pictures! These two are so amazing and they absolutely WORKED it during their engagement session. We started using the plane that Phillip normally works on so it has some pretty cool significance to him. After the airport we made our way to a tree farm where we got some awesome pics with their pup and used some major hairspray to create a scene.

This was a great session and a great day, we can’t wait for their wedding coming up soon! Thanks Nicole Padgett Makeup for doing a great job on the hair & makeup!
